BOARD GOVERNANCE TRAININGS
STRONG BOARDS MEAN STRONG NONPROFITS
Cooper Foundation believes that strong nonprofits are governed by strong boards. To support and strengthen local boards in Waco, we are pleased to offer free nonprofit board governance trainings to current nonprofit board members, potential board members, and nonprofit staff. Our goal is to ensure that all board members in Waco are trained in good board governance.
Jointly, the Cooper Foundation, Rapoport Foundation, and Waco Foundation have developed a statement on the Value of Board Governance to help nonprofit leaders understand why we believe this is so important.
The learning objectives of our board governance trainings are:
- Understand the purpose and best use of nonprofit boards of directors
- Gain tools for building strong boards
- Learn about recent trends in board structure
