Financial Statement

The Foundation has always pursued what might be termed a measured investment policy. We have grown our principal and generated income to fund grants. After Madison Cooper’s death, the Foundation’s corpus was roughly $3 million; today it is approximately $91 million.

The Foundation was Madison Cooper’s sole beneficiary. In his will, Cooper specified that his home was “to become not only the headquarters of Cooper Foundation, but a civic center, a source of practical instruction and cultural improvement.”
